Brandon Surber is second year physical therapy student at UNC Chapel Hill. He is also a board certified and state licensed athletic trainer in North Carolina and currently works with various teams in club sports at UNC (per diem). He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Emory & Henry College in 2018. Brandon has interests in many of the subdisciplines within physical therapy with a particularly strong focus in sports physical therapy.

His love of sports throughout his life and his clinical experience in athletic training and sports medicine have led to many of his clinical interests and much of his continuing education to this point. These interests include the application of strength and conditioning principles in the rehab

setting, assessment of current state of injury risk reduction tools and philosophies in competitive and recreational athletic populations, and integration of pain science principles in sports medicine.

Brandon is currently completing his second year of the DPT education and is expected to graduate in August of 2021.
